A sigh escaped a blonde as blue hues absorbed everything that dared be witnessed in the large place recently discovered as Oomphalos. Zidane kept his pace nice and even, ignoring the throbbing pain rampaging in his head. This city was large and bustling, and the thief could have sworn he’s been to a place similar to this but could not remember for the life of him. The people here were made up of varying breeds and races…it was entirely possible that Zidane could come across someone that he could recogn—
That girl…
No, it wasn’t that cute girl around the corner, but the thought of a certain girl who managed to worm her way into his head upon waking up in this place that caused the genome to come to a complete stop. His long tail swayed side to side even as the throngs of people passed around him. There had to be something here in this massive intersection that he needed to see…but what?Throwing his gaze to the right he saw a group of people conversing. From the rather serious expressions on their faces it seemed to be something worth listening in on...or it could be a complete waste of time. Zidane slowed his steps as he walked past them.
“I saw someone who might be a God.”
“The Hell? You’ve gotta be joking.”
“Heh, wait ‘till you get a load of this…hope you can keep up.”
“I can do more than keep up—I’ll prove your ass wrong.”
One of the males soon took off running with a grin on his face, passing up Zidane, followed by three other guys. The genome however, just stood there, arms folded and gaze directed at the ground, absorbing the context of the few sentences made out. There was a God in this town? While he wasn’t too familiar with their concept, if there was someone who truly possessed that kind of power, then he could possibly get all the answers he needed, and then some. The hole in his memory burned at his very being, itching to be filled for the sake of satisfaction. This place wasn’t home, that much was obvious. This bandit was here for a reason, and he was certainly going to get to the bottom of this…someone, somewhere, was counting on him, he could feel it…
After resuming his trek, Zidane found himself surrounded by buildings on both sides. An alleyway. With the light of the sun above hindered by the immense height of the edifices there was a sufficient amount of darkness for something or someone to hide within. His tail bristled with caution as he walked around various garbage and boxes. His memory wasn't the clearest but he knew that he's had plenty of thieving experience with these narrow passageways, and that experience channeled into his instinct as he rested a single hand on his sheath, ready for anyone or anything to potentially bar his path.
