Post by Amaya, Goddess of Water on Apr 19, 2013 21:24:01 GMT -5
Name ►: Amaya
Age ►: unknown
Gender ►: Female
Canon or OC ►: Original Character
Sexual Orientation ►: Omnisexual
Race ►: Goddess
Group ►: Water
Face Claim ►: Belldandy (full goddess form) - oh! my goddess
Appearance ►:
General Personality ►: Amaya's personality fits her element of water pretty well. Soft enough to go through yet forceful when applied, calm and tranquil or raging with fury. It fits the many moods of the seas of the worlds. Most often she is simply calm and easy going, fitting and adapting to any situation much like water to a container.
However while she is patient, understanding, and willing to work with and adapt? she has her limit of tolerance. Senseless destruction, polluting the waters, such things are among the easier ways to garner her dislike. Though she doesn't stand much for those who have one track minds and aren't open to even the slightest in changes. She actually has no problems helping others, and chooses to spend time on the human worlds from time to time just to be among them and see things from their perspective. She tends to feel that looking down essentially really only gives one narrow point of view. That being said while she may walk amongst them, she keeps a separate appearance to her actual one, having a rather limited shape changing ability. She enjoys talking with people and she notices that from above, it seems like all they want to do is fight and keep the cycle going, yet amongst them, it seems they more often then not want all the fighting to stop. Plus, as much as their are the other gods, she enjoys meeting new people. She has even helped people just lying on the streets and such just because she can. Though, compared to life, death or the like, she can do very little, mainly help if there dehydrated. She doesn't really use the full extent of her magic in whichever form she shows the people of the worlds, but she is far from besides covering it up saying they were hallucinating just to have a bit of fun. Though when it comes to those that would follow her and all, she has no problem revealing her true nature, and would stand between anyone and them to keep hem safe, and make their lives a bit easier. Though, if anyone were to betray her trust, well, that would garner her full fury.

Weaknesses ►:
Fiagra - While water may put out (most) fires, Heat and fire can still boil water. So Fiagra does a bit more damage then normal to her. - takes 10% extra damage-
Blizzaga - Much like Fiagra, if it's cold enough water can freeze so She takes a bit more extra damage from this as well. -takes 10% extra damage-
Tremor - The upper level earth spell, once again while water can beat small rocks and sand, it can't beat a small moutain so she takes extra damage. -takes 10% extra damage-
Aero
Normal/Minor wind damage to a target sends bladed gusts of wind at a target. -takes 20% more damage-
Aerora
Moderate/Medium wind damage to all targets/enemies torrents of wind converges on the targets. -takes 20% more damage-
Aeroga
High/Heavy wind damage to all targets/enemies huge tornado of wind around the targets converging on them. -takes 20% more damage-
Thunder
Normal/Minor lightning/thunder damage to a target a single bolt of lightning hits the target. -takes 25% more damage-
Thundara
Moderate/Medium lightning/thunder damage to all targets a single bolt of lightning hits each target. -takes 25% more damage-
Thundaga
High/Heavy lightning/thunder damage to all targets a torrent of lightning bolts hit the area and the targets. -takes 25% more damage-
Soda - wine she can drink like, well, water. Give her a shot of soda or any other fizzy water drink really, shes wasted.
Temper - Sure it takes a while to break, but when it does.... she tends not to care who and what is in the way. Tidal waves aren't exactly precision weapons.
Kindness - Shes kind and trusting, which makes her a bit easier to use. However, see previous weakness as to why that's ill advised.
Flightless - Despite having wings, they've never done much good in way of flying, least not in the air.
Oil - one of the few things that can cause water to burn, this makes all fire attacks extra effective. - +20% damage to all fire attacks-
Abilities ►: Water walk - Allows her to walk on any source of water like solid ground, even if it's small. (Passive - Allows her to walk or stand on water surfaces, or use small layers beneath her feet/Fog/Clouds to appear to stand on air, can still be hit by any attack that can be aimed at her.)
Shape shifting - Adjusts her form to remove the facial markings and wings so she looks like an ordinary human. (passive - really only affects physical appearance and such.)
Wings - While basically useless for flying, short of possibly falling with style, In water they can actually propel her at a high rate of speed over a fair distance before she has to move them again, and helps her maneuver in water, used almost in the manner of rudders or oars steering a boat. (Passive - Increases ability to dodge if underwater)
Water manipulation - Manipulation of water for non combat purposes, such as creating drinking water, water to stand on, etc. (passive - She may be able to manipulate a good quanity of it, but she cant move an ocean or the like <<)
Battery Charge
Restores magic power over five posts/turns.
All
Casts All on a target. All actions effect all enemies/characters.
Water
Normal/Minor water damage to a target a single jet of water hits the target.
Watera
Moderate/Medium water damage to all targets a single jet of water hits the targets.
Waterga
High/Heavy water damage to all targets a large wave of water hits the targets.
Blizzard
Normal/Minor ice damage to a target sends shards of ice at a target.
Revive
Revives a person/character from KO status.
Cure
Heals minor/normal wounds/damage but can only target one person.
Fog/Mist - Creates a small are of fog/mist that conceals the area and makes it hard to see. Reduces all combatants accuracy withing the fog by 50%, lasts two turns.
Water weapons - can make simple melee weapons from water, however, unless the water is frozen to ice or heated to boil it only has about the same force as a normal punch. The water cant stop a Melee weapon or slow moving bullets, but if it's swung at it can slow it down to reduce damage.
Weapons ►: Staff/bow - Her staff can also change to the appearance of a long bow, to which she creates arrows from water and freezing it as opposed to carrying a quiver or just condenses the water (more often her choice) so that it packs a punch but is non lethal.
Small shield and short sword - A weapon pairing she reserves only if she knows shes going to possibly inflict lethal injuries or do battle.
History ►: At First, there was the creator, Then light and dark, life and death, time and space. Then the creator created her and the other three elemental god's and goddess, with herself being the last. While in the end they did in some ways balance one another, their main thing was to create. And so they went about creating world after world, filling it with plants, animals, people, other things that made them as if beautiful paradises. And as they created the many worlds, the creator saw fit to add two more to their number, beasts and ice. Amaya herself had nothing really against the others or anything, though she was not really as fond of death and darkness more because of what they were and represented.
She enjoyed watching their creations though, especially humans. Their abilities to think and create, to grow in knowledge and understanding, to act with reason. They and others like them were enjoyable to watch, wanting to see them succeed, to advance, to create, and once in a while destroy not that she admitted much the last one, but she understood to build anew something must be destroyed. She even generated a couple appearances so that she could walk among the humans and see things from their perspective, understand things in ways she'd never understand them from above. She only meddled with things when she felt they needed meddling with.
She only had to do this once in awhile, when they forgot their past lessons, but still while the others created their realms, she too felt a need for a place of her own. And so, she created a place that she could stay that wasn't one of the world, a place she could truly feel comfortable. What she created was akin to what fables of sunken cities described. The whole realm is underwater, however, it's actually breathable for a normal human. It's filled with all the vibrant colors of the sea floor, it's waters clear crystal blue, untouched by pollution, and filled with various ea creatures though even ones like sharks are non vicious unless provoked. And given it's water one almost feels weightless in it, which she's found is great if you need to rest and recover because gravity has no real effect in it. She was content then, a place her and any she so chose could live in comfort, the ability to go and interact with humans as she so pleased, things were perfect.
Then came the cycles. Warriors from various worlds being pulled from them to fight a never ending war. They would be gathered, fight for "light or dark" and the such, though not either of the real ones, die, and be brought back to do it yet again. To say the least it was wrong. But while she tried to find out things from the people, she could never get enough to find the source, because when one died, their master revived them. And she wasn't sure she could do it by herself as it was. But finally, it has come to a point even the others have decided that these cycles have gone to far and need to be stopped once and for all. So she now spends more time then ever amongst the worlds, trying to find those who would be willing and worthy to work along with her as her champions.
