The small boy curled up under the blanket he took from the inn, his collar was even loose around his neck. It burned with each movement, tugging at the scar. It couldn't be hidden anymore, he just tried to keep his shirt pulled up. Not knowing where it might get him. It had only been a few days since he wound up sharing a room with Agosto. The self appointed guardian of Matty Lasair. So familiar, yet so far away almost like he had another life. One completely different from the child he took on his shoulders. Why did he treat him that way? The black haired male just didn't actually get that. Not at all. 'Why...did I have to do this.' Sighing lightly he glanced around feeling the sand between his toes.
Even as eight year old Matty straightened up he couldn't remember how he got here. It sucked so much, to feel as if his memories were slowly being stolen. Torn out of his hands within seconds of him remembering them. It had to do with how tired the boy was right now probably. That evil man had woken him up more then he wanted. All that noise, throwing things like that. Seriously what the heck was wrong with that man. Just none of it made sense. That man had some major mental issues in his head. It almost sucked but the boy felt he could deal with it. Smiling lightly he wiggled his tiny toes in the sand. Yes he hated being so small.
But it had gotten him quite a few things. Not someone that would shove him away anyway, it almost sucked. His parents were gone, his master had probably been left behind suddenly. What was he supposed to do? Biting his lip Matty stood up going over to the water. He only poked it with his toe the ice magic creating a small frozen patch. As he tried to put his feet completely on it the ice broke. Splashing water up he felt it hit him the eye. "Oh come on! that could have worked!" Growling he kicked the water up then poke it again, just freezing it and watching it break.
This should have annoyed him, but Matty actually felt like he was amused. Playing as a child did, which he looked enough like a child anyway. So it wouldn't matter to anyone. They might think he was strange. If he had been in some adult form anyway. Only now did he think of where Agosto was as his back stayed turned to anyone else. He didn't know if anyone might sneak up on him, and really that was far from his mind. Matty needed to think of how to reverse the spell.
And not cast it on someone else. Getting lost in his thoughts he poked at the water, watching the waves hit his fingers.
