General Personality ►: Rebecca in one sense can be seen as two different people, and not in the crazy way. When shes on duty, granted that's most of the time, She acts as you would expect a military officer to expect and simply acts like a soldier. She still has somewhat of a sense of humor, But otherwise has more or less turned things off almost in terms of emotions and what not. It helps keep her head in the fight, and help keeps her alive.
That being said off duty? She likes to have fun, she likes to eat junk food, and not dwell on the military. She'll laugh at some of the guys that hit on her, especially the recruits that don't know her, or her rank. While she may shower in open mixed showers in the military, she gets embarrassed kind of easy outside of that environment. She's also a lot softer outside of that, this time being when she sorta decompresses. Not uncommon for her to spend time alone crying because she refuses to while on duty.

History ►: Rebecca was born on earth, however, she didn't stay there long. Her father had been experimenting on her while in her mothers womb, be it things given to her mom in secret or injected. And her mother wanted to get as far away as possible from him. She had heard about the attack and fighting on harvest, however, she had no intent to go that far. She settled on a decently populated colony, working in research and development while raising Rebecca. Though, even that wasn't far enough to fully escape it. A former classmate of her fathers was at the school and commented she looked like her father. Knowing what she did of him she hated the idea and asked her mom to change her hair. Her mother refused though on the basis of age and the fact she thought her blonde hair was pretty. Though, that didn't really stop Rebecca.
While at a friends house they got into the older sisters hair dyes, not realizing the one they grabbed was something she used for parties and all. Suffice to say coming home with blue hair got her yelled at. School was worse though, while her friends called her snow jokingly, other took to maliciously. Her hair eventually returned to its normal color, though her mother agreed to do it just to avoid the problem. They agreed on red, but for one reason or another, it turned out to be pink. But she liked the shade despite more headaches from classmates. However, when she was 9, things escalated when two boys tried to cut her hair. She broke ones nose when she slammed her head against it, and when she yanked away from the one with the scissors grabbed his arm and slammed it in a door breaking it, leading to her being suspended. It led to her spending full days at her mothers work place, which meant her learning more about what she was doing. She was helping primarily develop some kind of armor or the like, but Rebecca didn't know till a couple weeks into the suspension.
It was then that the covenant attacked the colony. She and her mom were trying to escape the building when she was initially hit in the arm from a plasma shot, and both knocked down by a blast. Rebecca looked up dazed as a brute was standing over them. Though, the next she saw something green knocked it to the side by ramming it before shooting the grunts with it. She then watched it dodge the brutes attack and stab it in the back of the neck. It helped her mother up, and picked her up and carried her out to a pelican that lifted off immediately once they and what she thought was a robot at first were on. It turned around without thinking as the ship turned and the images were blazed into her mind forever as she saw the small city burning and in ruins, still being attacked. The school, friends house's, shops, their own home. Once the door was closed though, the thing put her down remembering now it had her and took its helmet off. It asked her name and if she could say anything as she hadn't made a sound. Her head tilted to the side and she focused on one of the soldiers as she simply said "Flipsy". The armored one looked where she had started staring before that and noticed a marine holding a somewhat dirty from debris or something stuffed rabbit. She asked if they had found it on the same floor she had found them and he replied yeah, handing it to the woman who gave it to Rebecca.
A couple tears were in Rebecca's eyes as she thought of some of the things they were leaving behind before she blacked out, last thing she could recall being the armored woman yelling at the pilot to get them to the ship. The next she awoke was apparently days later, bandaged up from injuries caused by the blast and the plasma burn. Her mother tried to get her to speak for days after, but her young mind was still trying to process it all, but her mother was growing concerned it could be far worse. Though, her mother got some relief when the spartan, as Rebecca had learned from a doctor was called, came in and talked to her a bit, telling her her friends were probably on one of the civilian ships. And that thing weren't as bad as they seemed, leaving briefly to grab a blanket that while she had been back on the ground retrieved at her mothers request because the opportunity presented itself. Rebecca clung to the rabbit and blanket, still silent till the spartan started to leave and she managed to say "thank you".
Slowly but surely she started talking more and more, and as she was stuck on the ship for a few weeks, as they had to take a long route back to earth to avoid the covenant, for better or worse, the ships shrink helped her to try and get over the images she saw when she went to sleep. Over the next few years though, she received more help and returned to a relatively normal life, though she had become driven to join the military. She had lost friends and all, her home, and was angry, least that's what her mother thought. But she pointed out it was more because she didn't want anyone else to go through that. Her and her mother fought over it constantly, but first chance she got, she joined up with the military. She went through basic and all, and was near top of her class. But with the war the way it was, it wasn't long till she was sent out. She and many of her classmates ended up replacements for a unit that took heavy losses in a recent engagement, which even made her nervous.
It was only two weeks before her first full deployment to a world being attacked. Like any of the others new to the fighting, she had her moments, but was far more controlled and didn't freak out as much. More because seeing people fall from plasma fire, buildings and cities burning, she'd seen it already. And it became more normal as the years went on. Go to a planet, fight, fall back, because while they could hold the ground, the covenant always won in space. It was during this time she volunteered to join the ODST's, but her applications were initially passed over, as they preferred that recruits already had special operations training. But eventually, she was accepted in to the training program, as trying to find people to join that were already qualified became harder. She spent a couple years off while training, and once she was back in action, it was almost like she never left. But their missions, the successes they had... it felt more like they actually were making a difference.
Eventually though, they started running out of places to fall back, till the biggest battle she would be part of till that time arrived. Reach. In all the fighting when the covenant showed up, she eventually with her squad and a couple other embedded with her old unit. They gave the now lieutenant a hard time, but all in good fun. But the fighting was fierce, and in it, Rebecca first was hit from hot plasma from a burst that coated the back of her armor, partially melting it and severely burning her back. At the time though they were pinned, so she still at least fired her weapon, but as the ranks began falling apart an elite ran her through with it's energy sword, tossing her aside for dead before being shot to pieces. It barely missed vital organs and her spine, and the heat at least closed the wounds to limit the bleeding mostly. But she was out of action. She was evacuated on a civilian transport to get proper medical care as reach no longer truly had the facilities to, and the battle in space was one sided by this point. Having been there she wasn't surprised as she recovered to learn reach fell.
What it was was when a member of her squad showed up with a prosthetic leg and cane. She learned they were the only survivors of her squad, and most of her old unit had been wiped out as well. Soldiers with her had died before, one, two, even in her old unit ten wasn't much. For once, the numbers in thousands truly hit her. She was angry and lashed out the next couple days, but cooled her heals afterwards. She used her grief, much to her doctors annoyance to push harder to get better. She wanted to get better, back in the fight, and kill every covenant she could. Though, barely back to active duty, it came. The covenant on earth. She wasn't there for the initial assault at new Mombasa, a good thing from what she heard. But was soon active elsewhere as they started a full scale invasion.
