This has a lot to do with his job of ferrying souls. He does however have a soft spot for children and is generally more open when around them. He does have emotions they just stay buried for the most part. Given time and the right stimuli they may actually come to the surface full time. However with his job it is unknown if this is a good or bad thing. After all a ferryman who is dulled to his duty performs better at least from the experiences that Kharon has had so far. Whether this be the pit or Eden depended on the deeds one performed in their life. For countless years Kharon ferried souls from where they entered Zikido along the river styx on his boat. He would be payed a fee by his passengers that varied depending on the culture of where they came from. For some this fee would be small. Usually two silver or copper coins. For others this fee would be quite large. He noticed that with some cultures the royals or at least what appeared to be royals, would have vast fortunes. Do to this fee, a system mortals had created through superstition, Kharon has amassed more money then he knows what to do with.
