SO MANY QUESTIONS Even now with all her memories put back where they should be, even with her knowledge and with the help she'd gotten. She still needed some company, without it she'd be in the same mess she was in now. Having people around helped. It really did. It meant she didn't have time to reminisce or dwell on the past but right now she was sat at the beach. The place she came to when she felt the need to ask herself questions. Ask those who'd passed on questions as well. Even if she got no response. It still... Helped. "I'll always wonder if you all hate me..." She began as she pulled her knees up to her chest, her arms curling around them. "I know you all stood up for me but... You all gave your lives... So many people just for me..." She frowned and her eyes were already watering as she spoke to the wind. Why when she had someone here in this world who seemed to care, did she still feel so alone? "Was it really worth it?... Was I worth the sacrifice?... You all should've just turned me in... I wouldn't have minded y'know... It isn't... Fair..." Now the tears broke through from corners of her eyes, they trickled down her cheeks and dripped off her chin as she kept quiet for a few moments. "... I meant what I said though... They'll pay for hurting you all... I'll make sure when I go home... That they'll never hurt anyone ever again..." Her shoulders were starting to shake and she hunched over a little more as pain started to burn through her back. She was trembling and she pulled her cape off and stuffed some of it in her mouth to make sure she didn't bite her tongue. Shifting on to her hands and knees, her tears dripped on to the sands as her fingers clawed at the grains but to no avail. I'm... Going to pass out... This is too much... Please.... Please stop... PLEASE STOP! The pain was agonizing, she could barely see, could barely move and she couldn't stop it either. It felt like someone was stabbing her over and over again. Like they were aimlessly trying to cut her up but keep her alive and awake. She felt sick, dizzy even. Tears of pain mixed in with tears of sorrow. The sound and smell of the sea was at least a little comforting. A loud pop was the next thing she heard and suddenly, the pain was gone. She felt too dizzy to actually realize what was going on but scattered around her now were blue golden feathers with blue tips that looked like they were on fire, sadly the feathers were stained with blood, her, blood. It took away from the beauty of them but so long as she cleaned the now protruding wings all should be well. She'd just have to gather the strength to make it from the beach back to where she was staying. Make her way to Veil. He'd help her... Right? Struggling to get to her feet she fell forwards, flat on her face and she turned her face to one side before she hit the sand. These new appendages were heavy, they'd take getting used too. Perhaps never having them in the first place was a good thing, but they'd only grow back again so was the pain of having her wings clipped worth it? Probably not. "... Veil......." The name passed her lips as she laid there. Her back still felt like it was ablaze and with the mixture of blue and gold like harmless flames that emanated from her wings it didn't really help much. The wounds however were closing up. She'd just need to wait till the dizziness wore off and till the pain subsided, then she'd be able to go back to him. BUT I'M TALKING TO MYSELF I know that you can't hear me anymore... |
