Name ►: Arabell Celmat
Age ►: 25 (Don't doubt it just cause she's short)
Gender ►: Female
Canon or OC ►: Original Character
Sexual Orientation ►: Heterosexual
Race ►: Human (Mana-enhanced) ((See history))
Group ►: Ice
Face Claim ►: Celsius - Tales of Symphonia
Appearance ►: Click here
General Personality ►: Arabell is a woman with enthusiasm and more than enough will to spare. She's rather confident, a little mischievous, and speaks her mind quiet a lot... though sometimes statements can just slip out. As such, she is rather sociable and isn't afraid to come up and talk to someone, no matter who or what they are.
Just be careful not to get her angry. For a girl who uses ice, she has a hot temper and it can take a while before it leaves. Pushing a subject that annoys her, getting on her case on something, or if she gets really hurt in one way or another, her anger sits in rather quickly. Best thing to do is to back away if she's angry. If someone gets too close too soon? She'll likely lash out at them with words or outright attack them. Even then if it happens she'll just get angry at herself. She doesn't know why she still gets so angry, and she honestly hates it.
In all of this, she still has a softer, more feminine side. She just doesn't like to show it. If one happens to stumble across a book of hers, they can find some writings of poetry that she either wrote herself or written down after listening to it from others. A way to let out that side of her without others seeing it. Of course, she'll likely try to ice the person if they read it without her permission, so depends on if they want to take the risk.

History ►:
Ara was born in a world where magic was considered the source of life. Each person was made with a certain amount of mana in their bodies, allowing them to use magic and channel it into other things. Machines used mana to operate, food was cooked through the use of mana, and it was even one of the primary subjects in schooling. However, there were people in the world that had less mana than others. Some even lacking it entirely. These people were essentially considered crippled, though research had been working on 'healing' them as time passed.
Arabell Celmat was the second born in her family. They were of the lower class in their city, living day by day with nothing but the basics. Her father worked in the market, Marcus, her older brother by three years, did odd jobs in town for some extra cash while Ara stayed at home with her mother to take care of the house and Jasmine, her little sister by two years. It's been that way for as far back as Ara could remember, and she didn't really have problems with it.
When Ara turned fifteen, there were rumors of a rebellion force against the crown. At first, it seemed like nothing, but as new of attacks around the cities spread, people became weary of each other. Helpful neighbors started locking their doors and friendly faces on the streets were replaced by harsh glares at nearly anyone who passed by. To add to things, people in each city were being drafted into military service... Her father being one of them. Life for Ara's family dramatically changed in this time.
Her brother took up work like their dad and he urged Ara to do the same thing he did. She tried, but the change in atmosphere left her wandering the streets. No one seemed to give her a chance, until she met a small group of people. They claimed to have just entered town due to the harshness of the capital's laws in recent years, and Ara believed them. All it took was a look at one man's bandaged hand, saying soldier lit his arm on fire for taking fresh-baked bread, even though he was starving at the time.
She was hired to do errands for them, which didn't seem strange to her at the time. Either she was sent to get some items or deliver some letters. In return, she was paid in cash a little less than her brother. This went on for four years, and everyone in her family simply believed she just found herself a job. Everything was well.
One day her dad came home on a temporary leave. Everyone was glad to see him, as he was them, but then they got to talking. He started telling them of what he had been doing, or at least what he could tell them at the time. He stated how he saw some of the rebels during his time serving, and many were using magic beyond that of a normal person. Some even beyond that of a channeling master. One, he said, even had a strange color to their skin. Using that, he told his family to stay away from people that seemed to fit such descriptions, and most of them listened... though Ara was more curious than afraid.
She eventually talked to the group she was working for, though their reactions were strange. They didn't seem disturbed or surprised, and one of them even dismissed the notion. Instead, they gave her a job like always, though it was to deliver a package. Considering it nothing more than a job with a letter, she headed off. Though, when she met the person she needed to give it to, the military showed up and took them both captive. She was interrogated, asking what all she was doing, and what all she had been doing the time before. By the time they were done, she was given no explanation of the questioning. Before she knew it, she was sentenced for execution.
Instead of some small room for her to be executed, she was taken to a laboratory. It had many different machines, and people who looked like scientists instead of soldiers. She didn't know it, but she was instead being used as an experiment. She was strapped to a table before sent into a chamber closed off from everyone else. Despite her pleas, no one responded when a strange vapor filled the chamber. She felt herself grow cold, losing her senses and thought for sure that she was dying. That this was her execution...
But when she came to, she found herself outside the city on the ground. At first she thought it was a dream, until she saw her skin now blue with strange markings all around. Panicked, she headed home, hoping her family didn't think she was dead. Avoiding the guards who were apparently patrolling the place, she made it there to find her mother and sister, both screaming at the sight of her. Ara explained as best she could what had happened, and it seemed like it was getting through to her mom... until her brother came in and came at her with a weapon. Ara didn't know what to do, so she defended herself, only to have spikes of ice come forth out of pure instinct and impale him. She could believe what had happened, but looking back at her mom and sister, they were in pure shock. Ara looked at her hands, getting angrier and angrier until she blacked out.
Coming to once again, she found herself in the wilderness once again. Wandering the place until she was ambushed by five people. She tried to fight, but was overwhelmed rather quickly by strong magic. She was then taken to a place hidden from sight. Not even an adventurer could probably find it. From there she found others like her. And one person even introduced the group as the "Rebellion".
They told her the story behind what was being told to the public. In the research of giving mana to the crippled, they tried saturating people with mana, but some subjects found themselves given immense magical ability. They were going to be considered a special unit for the military, but they rebelled, becoming a major threat. In fact, the very group Ara was hired to help with day to day was a faction on the outside of the Rebellion.
Knowing she couldn't go back anyway, Ara decided to stay with them, despite being caught up in this thanks to them. Within those 6 years, she trained to better control her affinity, worked to topple the 'research' of the country, and learned to better understand what she now is.
Today, she is well respected in the Rebellion as a fighter and an individual. However, being dragged into the fight for the worlds is definitely something something she wouldn't expect.
