He couldn’t stand how they could just walk through the smothering streets like they did. ‘Such strange people.’ The thought managed to escape his thoughts before he coughed, his body shaking with the force of each cough. That’s why he hated cities. They were nothing but smog and metal. He preferred to be where forests lay untouched. A place where he could breathe easily! Not this place! He looked around himself slowly and carefully. ‘So many lives that are in danger…so many children without parents.’ His strides became longer, but they had slowed considerably. He shook his head. ‘No, I mustn’t think of things such as that…I could remember the only memory I have from my past…and that is not a good one.’
He picked up his pace and it only seemed to pick up even more once be realized he was closer to the gate that lead to ‘Fresh air!’ he thought as he jumped in the air, over the threshold on the gate and bounded for the forest. He knew that it was stupid and that anything could attack him now, but he didn’t care! Once to one, he wrapped his arms around a tree and leaned against it. “Oh, how I have missed this feeling so much!” he exclaimed before letting go of the tree and walking through the forest. Now his walk had a bit more of a bounce to it as he could breathe easier and better. “Now shall I take a swim or shall I lay in flowers a bit and cool my head?” He pondered out loud. He stopped as he heard a crunch to his left and couldn’t help but to tense. ‘Wonderful. Well, I guess I cannot just let this chance pass on by.’ He thought with a smile on his face, his hands on his swords, waiting for an excuse to swing them
