The farplane was always an amazing place. It was where the souls of the dead in Spira went to after they were sent. Though there was something unsettling going on in there. Pyrflies scurried around and on the observation platform of the farplane the pyreflies started to cluster. More and more they gathered until a solid figure started appearing among. A figure that had not been seen on Spira for many years, but whose memories still haunted many of the inhabitants.
Finally the pyreflies parted and standing was Seymour Guado. He slowly opened his eyes to see what as happening. He had been dreaming or so he had thought. He had felt the peaceful sleep of death, but now he was awake. He looked around to see what was going on, but there was no mistaking he was alive again for what reason though he did not know.
Seymour took a few wobbly steps forward getting used to walking again. He knew though now that he was back he could continue the job that he had failed to do before his death.

Watching the pyreflies was a boring and menial task for one such as he. Tedious really. Though he was here for a few reasons, the first and foremost to pull people back from the dead. Simply to give them a second chance at life. A strange thing but this God was bored, when he became bored? He did things. What things? Well this was one of them.
Grinning he sauntered through the farplane almost as if he owned the place. Quite the peaceful place really, very pretty too considering it was where the souls of the dead came to rest. His souls, HIS. Glancing around he pulled a few different ones from the air and what did he do? He... Ate them. The souls of the dearly departed became a snack for the monster known as many names. Death. Oblivion. The Reaper. So many different names did he have but people definitely knew and never truly forgot his existence. Not on a single, tiny, pathetic excuse for a planet.
When the one he decided to give life too once more finally formed he sat watching, then he tapped his claw like fingernails against something solid. Generating a rather loud clicking sound.
"Finally here I see~ Took you long enough~ You know it's rather rude to keep the being that's given you your life back waiting~" He smirked almost playfully. Child like. His tone calm, relaxed, unmoved.
"Now then. I've brought you back, why? Because I was bored. There is no other reason, for I do not need a reason to do such a thing. I do have a simple task for you though, if you wish to keep this soul of yours alive and not be my lunch." He began and he folded his arms.
"This task is to stop cycles. There are two beings, Cosmos and Chaos they seem to think themselves Gods. Stupid creatures that they are. I cannot be bothered dealing with them nor to I know which world they are in and it's such a chore to search." He mused, slowly he sat down.
"Now then. What do you say~? Deal~? I'll even throw in a teleportation ability for you so you can travel~ I am a being of my word, so, as long as you report in to me when or more if you find the two? You can go about doing whatever you like in the mean time. Just don't get yourself killed, it's annoying to keep giving life to the same dull creature over and over again." The man before him really had no choice unless he wanted to have his soul taken and devoured. It was something simple for him to do, all he had to do was search out the two known as Cosmos and Chaos and report back to the one that gave him life.
Easy come, easy go. That's just how you live, oh. Take, take, take it all. But you never give.
Seymour heard a noise. That of someone talking to him, so he turned to see who it was that was addressing him. It was a humanoid figure. A strange one at that it was no guado, it looked closer to a human yet it had pointed ears and horns. Strange this person was unlike any races from Spira so it must be away from Spira.
Also it seems this person whoever he was, was the one that brought Seymour back from the dead. Seymour continued to listen as this person continued to speak and make his proposition. So this person wanted two beings named Cosmos and Chaos gone it seemed simple enough.
Once the man before Seymour finished speaking Seymour smiled. "Of course I would accept it's the least I could do for your gracious act of bringing me back from the dead," Seymour said. Yeas so he finally was back, and he had seen the true peacefulness of death. It was a slumber without any pain or suffering. It was something good as compared to the torment people call life.
"I must say thank you for bringing me back, it's been too long since I've been alive," Seymour said now re-invigorated with life. Though thinking of it life wasn't as bad as Seymour remembered, but still nowhere near the nice somberness of death.
"So all I have to do now is find Chaos and Cosmos did you say?" Seymour asked again clarifying his part of the deal again. Seymour would normally ignore deals after they were given, but this figure seemed like one that you would not want to double cross.

"Of course I would accept it's the least I could do for your gracious act of bringing me back from the dead," A single brow arched upwards. Was this one a suck up? He was unsure as to what he was but none the less, Death here had brought him back for a single cause.
"I must say thank you for bringing me back, it's been too long since I've been alive,"
"Perhaps it has or perhaps you simply have unfinished business~? I'm sure the slumber allowed you to get some much needed rest hmmm?" Oblivion chuckled and then he folded his arms.
"So all I have to do now is find Chaos and Cosmos did you say?"
"Indeed. Also hold still for a moment will you?" He spoke as he approached Seymour and then slammed a clawed hand on the males chest over where a heart should be. Digging the claws in a little and siphoning off one of his skills. Then he pulled his hand away after there was a light purple glow.
"Portals, you can now manifest your magical energies to make a portal to a different location. In battle they can only be used to leave to a different location away from the battle at hand. So it's a good escape route and also a means of travelling as there are other worlds out there that I'm sure you're just dying to see." Grinning Death walked away his back to the other.
"Hmmm that's all~ Just that one task for you and a new skill in return along with your life. You are one of mine now. Do make sure to be careful Seymour~ Bye bye now and try to stay away from the self proclaimed good guys." With that he was gone, vanished without a trace to a different place no doubt. Also probably off to resurrect more people both hero and villain alike. He didn't care what they were or whom they were affiliated with so long as they helped him find what he was looking for.
--EXIT DEATH--
Easy come, easy go. That's just how you live, oh. Take, take, take it all. But you never give.
Seymour's eyes grew slightly bigger as this man dug his hand at where his heart should be. Seymour didn't know if he should of felt pain, but he did feel power, as the purple glow lingered after the man pulled his hand away.
Seymour starred at the man as he turned his back on Seymour. So now Seymour could visit new places to see the torment life has cast upon multiple worlds. What a thrill.
Seymour watched as the man vanished. He would be on the lookout for Cosmos and Chaos, though he would still be doing a lot of things for his own agenda. Then from behind him Seymour heard a few gasping noises as a few guado walked into the farplane and saw Seymour standing there. Seymour merely chuckled and smiled. He figured now would be a good as ever to test out his new ability, and so he did, he created a portal to step and from it he was set off to who knows where.
