Return of the lost [Serah Farron]

Serah was dead, she knew that much. That vision she had seen had been too much and it killed her. She missed those she loved dearly, Snow and Lightning. Maybe one day, she could see them again.she also missed noel and mog. they had become dear friends of her's and she wondered what exactly happened to them after she died. so this must be how yuel felt whenever she died after her visions. but if she did get reborn, would Serah just be a different version of herself or would she be the same? she supposed that she'd just have to wait and see.

but she heard the sounds of the ocean, which seemed odd to her. she groaned a bit as she opened her eyes and shielded them from the sun. after a moment, she moved her hands from her eyes and found herself on the beach of New Bodhum. "how did I get here?" she wondered aloud. She slowly got up to almost get tackled over by mog. "Serah's alive kupo~" she couldn't help but smile at mog as she patted his head a little bit. "I'm happy to see you, mog." she gave him a big hug, which made the moggle flail and squirm a bit.

she giggled and let him go. she glanced around, not seeing Noel around, which slightly bothered her. "where's Noel?" mog shook his head and said that he left a few days ago. she sighed and nodded, looking back out at the water. "at least we still have each other, mog." mog did a little spin and a nod. "kupo~"

note: i placed this in new bodhum because lightning's old home was on cocoon which is pretty much hard to live on in XIII-2

Serah dusted herself off, making sure to get all of it off, especially from her hair. Sand was always a bit tricky to get out of clothing so she might have some that still remained. mog shook himself off and got dizzy in the act, which made Serah giggle as she watched him. he let out a sad kupo and she patted him on the head. "I imagine that Lebreau and the others have been worried sick about me since I left that day with noel to go and help lightning." serah didn't like worrying her friends but she had to go help lightning and through doing so, she had found Snow again.

unfortunately, that reunion couldn't last all that long. he had disappeared from her arms that day in the sunlethe waterscape and she hadn't found him since then. and she missed her dear snow so much. some of the cats that she had been taking care of before her journey had walked up to her, especially the cat she had named after snow. she pet the kitty gently which earned her a purr and a lick on her palm, which made her smile. snow, I hope you're okay wherever you are but please come home soon. her hand touched the engagement necklace she was wearing as she sighed and stood up.

that's when she heard a voice that she hadn't heard since she died. "lightning?" she asked, almost in disbelief that it was really her and not just some memory or hallucination. she turned to see that it was in fact lightning and she ran to her older sister. "lightning!" she then hugged her older sister tightly, not really wanting to let go of her. "this is really you right?"

serah couldn't believe it. Lightning was right here in front of her, not trapped in valhalla. in all honesty, it was all too good to be true and serah was having a hard time believing it all. perhaps she really was dreaming all of this. perhaps this was just some sort of purgatory type of place. then again, why would mog be here with her? serah was very confused as to what really to think but she pushed all her confusion out of the way and focused her attention on her older sister. the only sister she had and the only one that she would ever love so dearly.

yes they had their problems in the past but they always managed to become good one again. the only real problem was when Serah had become a l'cie. those were hard times for her, very hard times. and only snow had been truly devoted to her and loved her even though she had a risk of becoming a cieth. but she was so happy that things didn't work out that way in the end. "Yes it is me Serah it feels like centuries since i did see you last" serah sighed in relief as she rested her head on Lightning's shoulder. "good, I'm glad I'm not dreaming this then."

"Where is snow?, i was sure i would find him when i did find you"  serah bit her lip as lightning hugged her tightly once again. she remembered the last time she saw snow and felt a couple tears fall. "he disappeared, solving more paradoxes I haven't seen him since that day at the waterscape. I hope he's alright..." her voice trailed off from the sadness she was feeling at the moment. she just wanted her snow back so that they could finally get married and be happy. that's all she wanted right now.

as serah listened to lightning, she shook her head a little. she felt her older sister beginning to pet her and she forced back a sigh. she had thought that light and snow were on okay terms with everything they had gone through together. so it did upset her that lightning still didn't like him, at least that's what serah felt. "well, it's not really his fault. he was protecting fang and vanille in one of the paradox times. plus, he got stuck inside the coliseum. he said he was bound to it by chaos and he'd come back when he figures out a way to get free...and I believe he'll come back."

she had absolute faith in snow. it seemed that she was one of the few that did have faith in him. but that didn't matter, she loved him and he loved her. so he would come back soon, he just needed to figure out a way to escape the coliseum. "yes well, fighting caius in valhalla did have it's draw backs...I am a new seeress and I...had a vision and I died because of it..." she was slowly getting used to the fact that being a seeress meant dying but getting reborn probably as a different version of herself. she wondered what other side of her that she could have but she pushed the thought from her mind.

snow, i hope you're alright, just...try and get home soon. lightning's here and now I just need you, just you. so please, come back to me soon, she thought as she closed her eyes. she would need snow around and she just needed to wait for her knight in shining armor.
